What do you actually do as a...
… Tech Lead? You will split your time between technical and people leadership. You will ensure that your team is writing high-quality code following solid engineering principles and best practices. While staying on the desired appetite and delivery timelines with a high sense of pragmatism. You'll manage direct reports, conduct 1-on-1s, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Ultimately, you'll ensure the team achieves its goals and maintains high standards of engineering excellence.

Your responsibilities
  • Implement and develop software features to meet business needs
  • Create and maintain automated tests to ensure software reliability
  • Solve complex technical issues and optimize system performance
  • Maintain databases and build systems to support engineering activities
  • Write clear and concise technical documentation
  • Mentor and guide other developers and teammates
  • Conduct security testing and establish best security practices
  • Advocate for and implement new technologies, tools, and practices
  • Perform 1-on-1s with direct reports and support their career growth
  • Ensure team happiness, performance, and goal achievement
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, due diligence, and confidentiality standards
Your qualifications
  • Communicate with clarity, concision, and empathy
  • Strive to build and maintain emotionally safe environments where teams can do their best work
  • Care deeply about code that reads well, is easy to maintain, and is very well-tested
  • Take initiative, are self-managed, and dislike being micro-managed
  • See things through without needing reminders or too much intervention and follow-up as required
  • Expert Rubyist; JS, TS, or Golang are all a bonus
  • Reflect critically about the team’s work and processes, constantly striving for improvement
  • Proficiency in German and full-stack experience is a bonus
  • Strong experience in software development, design, and architecture
  • Excellent skills in technical writing and communication
  • You're based in Germany
